Lock us all UP!!!!!!!!

Reading a interesting article about Brazil and racism. This kind of made me laugh, because, if America made this law applicable, like 90 percent of the population would go to prison within the first 3 months after enactment. Antonio Carlos, was charged by a Brazilian prosecutor of racism, which means nothing to you and I, however in that country racism is illegal and the charge carries a 3 year prison sentence. I knew there was more to this country other than hot women, carnival, bossanova and ethanol fueled cars.

But the backdrop for those not in the know. Brazil had the second largest African slave population in the western hemisphere, only to be outdone by our fine country(of course, we lose at nothing, not even slavery). The Portuguese and Indians and Slaves all intermarried (cough...brutally raped) and created a huge bi-racial..tri-racial(made that up) population, and just like America, people were discriminated against and wealth was distributed unevenly based on hues and family history. Lighter hues were given opportunities within industry and politics, while a darker complexion were denied that luxury and sentenced to a life of living in rampant poverty. If your wondering how I know all this sh**, its due to my Ivy league education and Latin America history class.

If you should ever wonder why Brazilian women are considered the most beautiful in the world--its probably because they have the best of all worlds working in there favor. Dam I need to make a trip to Sao Paulo or Rio in the next year.

I think my favorite part is that you linked all of that history and commentary on racism back to the hot Brazilian women...

nicely done.

Thicky---- Yowser. She got a beaut boot

Roar------ Being a bachelor is like a bad cocaine habit. Its hella-addictive.

Asian Mist----- Hahahahahahaha----So juvenile I know, right??? But seriousily know your history or your doomed to not fully understand beautiful women

Chasing Comp---- Hey, again your missing my point and that is: Brazil got some beautiful women.
Seriousily though, could you imagine a law like that in America. Now that would make a great Dave Chapelle skit.

It is hard to argue with that butt. Even as a female.

It's impressive.

Oh, and on topic:

That kind of discrimination is not reserved for Brazil. In India, lighter-skinned citizens are seen as higher caste; On Spanish TV you have more caucasoid/european- featured personalities rather than the native indian-featured; and there has been a study done that (statistics being what they are) proves that less attractive white people get fewer perks/jobs/fairer deals than more attractive white people.

Discrimination happens across the board in all cultures. Whether we admit it or not. There are a certain set of facial/skin/body features that each group finds attractive.

It's me pre-knee surgery. I've lost most of my tone. My trainer is helping me regain it and my ability to curse creatively.
