Shawshank Redemption is on TV right now. It's the greatest movie made within the last 15 years and should be hands down top five for every American. Watching this movie always reminds me of my job. I detest it. I find my work uninteresting and dull. I know what your thinking, already know what your gonna say: "O-face go get a new job". I've tried and its painfully hard to make a career change. Careers are like acting, you can get typecast into a position if you stay too long.

I think one of the reasons Shawshank speaks to me because the movie is symbolic of life. We all live in some sort of prison in our minds. Some people are incarcerated by money and debt, others by relationships and love...others because of general ignorance or fear of learning. So for those reading this, I pose the question: "Whats your prison, what keeps you locked up?"

Sometimes when I'm not fantasizing about heated sex with one of my vixens past or present, then I'm dreaming about living another life, a life I should of had, something that my parent's promised when I was a kid. But unfortunately, this mind lives in a prison. Just living as blind a life as Ray Charles, going through the motions hoping to bump into success or happiness..even love. That's the main reason I dedicated this whole year too writing "The O-face blog" at least once a week, so I would stop my habit, my addiction to complacency, always doing nothing..maybe see if I can blow a breeze of change in my own sails instead of letting life's winds steer me. Often hear people who have problems say that, "god will work it out". I've done that routine for a long time. Next time I hear somebody utter those words, to me or anybody else, I'm gonna cut them short in midsentence with the words:"God helps those who help themselves".
